To fulfil the tasks as specified in the Takeover Act, a Takeover Commission has been set up at the offices of the Vienna Stock Exchange. However, this Commission is a body independent from the Stock Exchange as well as from the public administration. It has 12 members and an office. The Commission is charged with supervising the offer procedure and with deciding whether a mandatory bid has to be made.
